Argyro Papaioannou graduated from the Department of Early Childhood Education of National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. She holds a MSc at Department of Digital Systems (DDS), University of Piraeus, Greece, in the research field of eLearning.

As an educator in an era which is characterized by challenges due to the rapid spread of new technologies, she feels the need to anticipate and guide the developments instead of following them. Her research projects have mainly focused on young students’ social interaction during their learning. She has addressed the design, implementation and evaluation of collaborative learning activities underpinned by teaching and learning principles and innovative pedagogies. Additionally, through projects she has investigated the use of technologies for teaching and learning, the design of online courses and game-based approaches. Currently, she works as a Robotics Teacher at Robotakia Company.

Her research interests include Social Science and e-learning. As a member of the apT2 research group, she focuses on delivering effective e-learning material, using aptly new technology to enhance the teaching processes and students’ engagement in the learning procedure.
